Myth: A hypnotist is one who has unusual, Svengali-like powers.

Myth: I can’t be hypnotized.

Fact: Anyone that wants to be hypnotized can be hypnotized.  Simply follow the instructions given by your hypnotist in order to experience the benefits.

Myth: Hypnosis = Sleep

Fact: Hypnosis is not sleep.  When in hypnosis, you will remain awake and aware throughout your session.

Myth: Hypnosis is dangerous.

Fact: Hypnosis is very safe.  In fact, the American Medical Association sanctioned the use of hypnosis in 1958, and it is recommended training for medical doctors and dentists.

Myth: I might get stuck in a trance.
